I have expanded the poll from the first try, no longer grouping various bodies together. Please vote again. I appreciate it.

I would like to run this poll in reaction to a recent thread discussing the most popular types of bodies being used.

I'm curious to see how many people here are ^^CURRENTLY^^ using what are considered to be professional bodies such as the 1D series, the prosumer bodies, mirrorless bodies, and Rebel series. Point-n-Shoot bodies and a few others are not considered here. This has nothing to do with if you earn a living with your camera or just enjoy having a camera. I have set the number of votes to 4 since I think that should cover the people who are using more than 1 type of body at the same time., and you can change your vote 4 times.

I hope this covers enough this time round.

Please vote.

OK... I tried again. First time I clicked on the "dot" to the left of the word 90D... this time I clicked on the "word" 90D and that worked.

Thank you. I hope many more will participate.

I apologize to everyone for the first poll that was too condensed.

I checked off my 80D and Rebel, again. I think the 'currently' in the title is a tad misleading and/or confusing. I do just fine with a Rebel (T4i) and an 80D these days. Mostly because my grandkids have moved away field sports in favor of Chess Club, Science Club and the like. If/when any of them get back into sports/athletics, I'd be happy to spring for another 1DIV, or by then maybe a well used 1DX. I'm am shooting lesser gear because it is smaller, cheaper, lighter. If the need for more capable gear arises, I'll buy it. I'm flexible.

I worded it as "currently using" because of another thread that asks about what people are using AND have previously used.

I'm not interested in bodies people have moved on from.

Hope this helps.

70D, 80D, 90D are not series, they are models of the xxD series. The same way that 5D, 5DII, 5DIII, 5DIV are models in the 5D series.

Separating the different models of the xxD series can be misleading,

a) Because in the aggregate of the response at the time I wrote the thread they are even with the Rebel 'series' with its multitude of models

b) Because there are people (like me) still shooting the 60D and possibly the 50D and the 40D if not older. Why favor the 5D series including the ancient 5D and not the xxD series?

Good stuff here, keep the poll going, cast your votes for the bodies you are using.

I think the 70D and before could be in their own xxD subclass.

The 80D marked the arrival into a much better AF system and higher resolution and better low ISO DR, continued again by the 90D. I see those being in a second subclass of the XXD line.

I always do this, too.

The way the poll voting is set up here is very counter-intuitive.

Any normal human would assume that you are to click on the round dot at the beginning of each choice. . The fact that that dot is not clickable, but that the text itself is, is very odd and runs against the grain of everything that our brains tell us. . It may be the only thing that Pekka "whiffed" on when writing this software - everything else on the entire forum makes total sense.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

The 5D series is a strong seller.

Forum users are a unique crowd though. I'd be curious to see actual sales numbers by model line. I'd bet the Rebel+2 lens kits at Costco far outsells the 5D.
