Great photos Clifty. Thanks for posting.
I still remember the day dad drove the two tone blue FC Holden Special Station wagon (like the one above) up our drive and into the yard.
I was only 10 and it was WOW. Had many years faithful use from it.

Clifty Senior Member More info | My dad drove up in an FB Wagon, white with that hideous orange/rust coloured side panel. I was nine, travelled mainly in the cargo space in the back, rear window open in summer.

May 24, 2020 04:08 | #63 Awesome series Clifty! some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Yeah, my dad had the FC too, same colours but the sedan version. I don't remember those fender mirrors though. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

I just happened to be taking photos of the old (this is the youngest) houses in the area when this drove past. Right place at right time. I imagine that house could be late 40's to early 50's, so yes probably predates the Holden I dunno, looks like a classic fifties bungalow and the car is an FJ ('53 to '56) so they are probably contemporary. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Pippan Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 24, 2020 06:56 | #72 The support races for this weekend at Hidden Valley include the HQ category--about 8 or 9 were racing. This category started decades ago as a cheap form of motor sport, and parts were plentiful. But now the cars are nearly 50 years old, parts are getting very difficult to come by and few are able to keep racing them. I remember when I first saw one while walking to school (I think it was 1972). I thought they looked so futuristic, LOL.
