Major Issues With Healing Brush Tools After CC Update to 21.1

With the recent update (21.1) to Photoshop CC, I’m now experiencing issues with the Healing Brush and Clone Stamp tools. First off, the Healing Brush no longer works in a separate layer without the Background being unlocked yet Spot Healing and the Clone Stamp still do.

Now the big issue is a “click and drag” action with any of these tools now destroys the image by creating a “line” of chaos that runs toward the upper left hand corner of the image. Just a single click to execute a tool action seems to have no effect and appears to work normally. The following pictures show what I’m talking about with the various tools. The area I “edited” were on the left cheek with the “dragging” action being maybe 1” to 1.5” in length and starting at the center of the cheek and running downward to the jaw line. My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there some settings which I’m not aware of that I need to change back to prevent this and get these tools working normally? I’ve done a reset to the individual brushes but that hasn’t helped one bit. Thanks for any guidance you can offer!

FWIW, everything is working as it should again. Not sure if Adobe did a patch or not but I no longer have the issue and never changed any settings; who knows.
