This is a very poor capture, I noticed it out of the corner of my eye and it had gone into deep shade.

Is this a Belted Kingfisher?

Keep your eyes open for where it lands. They often do the same circuit of an area over a couple of hours so if you find the perch spot, it is likely to come back later.

Watched this one fly by numerous times before finally landing on a deck across the cove from my friend's lake house in Northeast Georgia.
