Canon seems to have done a lot better with the EF-M series cameras than lenses. They have had more bodies than lenses. Sort of makes me wonder why they don't support the EF-M mount lenses better.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

“Different strokes for different folks”

Some consider replacing an APS-C body with FF an “upgrade”, & if one uses only one body, and it's APS-C, & they've yearned for FF that's reasonable----But---There are many, especially wildlife shooter's who tote two bodies perhaps a 1D series with a 500, or 600mm Prime on a tripod, & a 7D3/ 100-400L on a Sling, & consider them different tools rather than either an upgrade over the other.

Some consider that a single “high” MP FF body with a “moderate” MP Crop Mode should “cover all the bases, and that could work if you intend to work with only one lens, and/or have ample time to change lens's without fear of missing a shot.

While there were “early” rumors of a possible future 5D series DSLR, Canon has publicly announced that they will be dedicated to ML for the foreseeable future, and even Sigma has announced total future dedication to ML.

I think it's highly likely that we'll see an R7; but given the present global situation, it might not be in 2020?
