It's on Fox News so it must be true. BWAHAHAHA!

I'd suggest the link Archi provided above is a much more reliable source.

I didn't want to name names but you nailed it with the Network name

Sort of surprising my golf course is open. Not the club house, all transactions happen through the take out window on the deck. Rakes are gone from the bunkers. The flags are in but with rule changes you can putt with it in now, so its really up to you if you want to handle the flag or not. Range balls get a Lysol bath, not renting clubs, one person per cart. So its a nice walk, not spoiled.
On a down note, Our regional supermarket, Stop n Shop, made a senior only time from 6 to 7:30 AM. Sounded good, but I tried it this morning and it was packed, I'm talking Black Friday packed. Not a cart to be had, long lines at the deli counter and checkout lanes. I took a look and left. We need to find ways to spread shopping out, not condense it into a smaller window. Went back at 11, and it was fine. Talked to couple employees, they had been called in early to handle the rush. May have to rethink that, or see if it calms down.

holy **** Pennsylvania just shut down ALL no life sustaining businesses! wonder if they will allow heating oil to be delivered, people could freeze.

Once one state does it Mass will not be far behind.

Why didn't they respond this way to the swine flu that killed over 12,000 and infected 61,000,000 in the USA

This will totally kill the economy

I'm not sure how well the 'seniors shopping hour' here in Oz is going to work, either. I tried it once so far and, while the numbers were OK - certainly less busy than any other visit I have made - there was a distinct lack of fresh produce available, especially at the bakery and deli counters. When i tried to buy some fresh bread rolls, I was told they weren't ready yet. That's OK, but they couldn't tell me when they would be ready, either.

If the seniors' hour is going to work for us oldies, they ought to gear-up for opening time like any other day, so that we have the same choices that other shoppers have, later in the day. That said, it's no disaster having to buy pre-packed bread, so I'm not going to have a meltdown in the shop

Maybe that's why people are buying extra toilet rolls

Saturday I cooked up a huge pot of spaghetti sauce with italian sausages,. we've had it twice fro dinner and once for lunch.

Tomorrow I will be cooking the corned beef I got for St Patties which we pretty much skipped this year.
It was on sale, it was a week before the SHTF so plenty was in stock, so I bought FOUR! Plus two cabbag3s and two bags of carrots, and 2 lbs of potatoes :)

When the weather gets good, I'll smoke up the ribs in the basement freezer :)

I bought some Spam, too. I haven't eaten that stuff since I was a kid when, being poor, it was a staple. I keep eyeballing it in the pantry, tempted to see if it's as bad as the ingredients suggest.

If I recall, it's something like what you'd end up with if you combined 'meat' (in its loosest sense) with a bar of soap.

"I'll have the Spam, egg, Spam, Spam, bacon and Spam please."

Spams not soapy but it is salty.

I hope this is true. They say a cure has been found. https://youtu.be/eInV44ujWDM (external link)

That would be nice...…..if true. Several things bother me about this video.

1. They claim a 100% cure rate which is not impossible but highly unusual
2. The person being interviewed is a lawyer with no medical training
3. It was broadcast on a network known for its sensationalist stories.

That being said, I share the Mod's hopes of this being true.

I'd suggest the link Archi provided above is a much more reliable source.

I hope the American Chemical Society is considered a reliable source. There are several compounds under consideration as COVID-19 therapy.

As the Chinese have done much of this work, it would be wise for our National Command Authority to humbly ask them to share their clinical trial information so we could perhaps make faster use of these therapies. My WeChat feed suggests that some of our customers may have some of these compounds available now.

I grew up on that stuff. When mom and dad couldn’t afford bacon it was eggs and fried spam. Mmmmmm. Hot dogs are no different. Lips and butts. All the condiments masked the taste. Hooves are reserved for desert. Jello.

Is this like day 5? It will be a long 2 months

Yesterday we ordered from a local restaurant to help out. Best clubhouse sandwich in the city. In a few minutes Pad Thai which my wife is cooking. Smells real good.
