I always doubt this sort of thing until proven to actually work.

Surely you’re not putting a lot of stock in what China is reporting. LOL

Their scientists have been doing a good job. Their reports are in the peer-reviewed journals, some of which have been cited in this thread. It was some of their work which caused the clinical trials which are on-going. Some of those trials will show the compounds in question don't perform as well as we hoped, but that is the nature of medicine everywhere. I put a lot of stock in their scientific work.

Wow. 700 NYPD officers test positive. 29 in the hospital. Another concern now. Crime. At least people are mostly off the streets and at home but that does not help businesses that are shut down. We are having a rash of business break-ins and our force is at full capacity.

Hope everyone, everywhere stays safe.

So, with fewer police officers on the street, what do you do next?

Well Governor Cuomo thought it would be a good idea to start releasing convicted felons from gaol, and not just petty thieves.

Breitbart News:

"Among those 50 inmates released were eight sex offenders, three of which were convicted for raping a child. Even as the New York state courts have deemed the sex offenders likely to re-victimize children, they were released."

I'm not familiar with wivb. But Breitbart? I wouldn't believe them if they said that water is wet.

I could debate this with you, but that would once again bring politics into the thread. You have every right to disbelieve Breitbart if you wish, but insinuating that I am foolish because I read the site won't help keep things 'nice'.

I've not before come across Brietbart, but the WIVB website would be a local television channel's web presence,
as seen by the "WIVB 4" logo.

Well this hit home for me. My 74 year old disabled sister has been in a nursing home for 3 months recovering from a fall. Received a call from the home yesterday.
She has been transferred to the emergency hospital due to a fever and cough. She was given a covid test. It takes 48 hours for the results. This 48 hours is going
to seem like forever.

Our family received some good news. My sister's covid test is negative.

But I sympathize with those not as fortunate.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Encourage her to follow shelter-in-place guidelines, or that Negative test result could easily become a surreptitious symptomless infection with a single encounter with someone infected.

No, "foolish" is not the word that comes to mind. I have other words though...

I'm sure you do. Why the hostility?

Because Breitbart ranks very low on the credibility scale.
