I would like to give the Leica 75mm 1.25 Noctilux M a real try and spend some time with the Leica M 10 Monochrom.

I'm very simple.... I bought the Sony A7Riv, but didn't have the money (and still don't) for the Sony native (GM ) lenses. I'm using my Canon glasses adapted. I would love to try any of the Sony native lenses, but am especially keen to try the 90mm Macro.

As far as Canon goes... Would love to try the 200 F2.8 prime.

The only problem would be giving these back but, fine, I'll play ...

Digital:

  • Leica M10 (while the new Monochrom looks gorgeous, I work more in colour these days) and ... why not? Let me try a 50mm Noctilux.
-I don't really need to try this to know that I would love it - I love my film M - but it would still be fun.
  • Fuji GFX50R with the new 50mm (40mm equivalent) lens on it.
-I think this would be a fun little Digital Medium Format kit to play around with, and I loved the 40mm Pancake on my 5D so I'd like to give this one a try.

Film:
  • I used a 'Blad 500cm years ago at University but well, it's been over a decade so I think I can try one again. I'm a sucker for the 'standard' focal length so hit me up with an 80mm.
  • Mamiya RB67 ... again, been a while.
-For some reason I like the RB more than the RZ ... that retro tankish charm, maybe. Again, I'll take a 90mm lens, please.
  • Rolleiflex.
  • Cherrywood Wista 4x5 view camera.

That's probably enough.

I've owned and still own so many fine cameras/lenses that it's hard for me to believe that I have never had in my possession the Canon 85 1.2, any version to try.

I would love to play with the Pentax K1 ii and some Pentax lenses. The limited edition lenses look cool and the focal lengths are interesting; 31mm, 43mm, 77mm.

The Fujifilm GFX 50R is another I'd love to try and hopefully own someday. The 50R and the 50mm f3.5 is basically the premium version of my 5DS and 40mm STM which is a combo I really enjoy.

I'd also love to try the Leica M10 and some of the lenses to see if they're genuinely worth what they go for.

I would love to try the Leica 50mm 1.2 Noctilux. Way outta my price range. A rare lens though and they are going for between 15K and 20K used of course thanks to all the collectors ha ha.

Also the Leica 35 1.4 double aspherical Summilux. Another rare beast. They go for over 10K used.

Scottboarding Love my M10s. The M 10 Monochrom will be my next camera.

Also really like Leica glass. I have a 90 Cron APO and it is my favorite lens I have shot with between 75 and 90MM. I have owned Canon fd 85 1.2 aspherical and in the digital world I had an 85L.

Heres a good article on the Leica look

I have a fake leica (panasonic leica) lens, and it's got me more intrigued about leica lenses.

it's not the absolute sharpest lens I've used, but very sharp. Bokeh is pleasant for a tiny m43 sensor. Contrast is just right, the tonality is excellent for the sensor size, clearly better than other lenses I have for the system.

a shame they dont make Autofocus lenses, as for cameras I would like to try...... well, all the major brands dont do much for me unfortunately, I'm ok with what I have for stills and video, but I do want the full MF experience of Leica, AFAIK, they are the only ones producing full digital sensor rangefinder. I can see myself with one in the future, for strictly photography. Maybe a 28 summicron and 90 elmarit, a simplistic system.

Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD
Panasonic GH6 - Laowa 7.5/2 - PL 15/1.7 - P 42.5/1.8 - OM 75/1.8 - PL 10-25/1.7 - P 12-32 - P 14-140

Charlie, Leica does make cameras with autofocus lenses. Not the M system though. Here's a link.

I'm glad the M system is manual focus. I wouldn't have gone Leica some years back if it were auto focus.
