We are lucky in NZ. Apart from being arguably the most remote first-world country (our nearest neighbour, Australia is 2,000km away), we had a combined response from both left and right political sides of the political divide. The government provided direction, strategy and imposed an emergency that will last until this is all over - so medical and police authorities have extraordinary powers for example, and an absolute lock-down has been imposed for at least 4 weeks. The leader of the opposition has been engaged to chair a bi-partisan committee with many scientific, economic and health experts consulting, to review government actions in real time, and with authority to require people to give testimony and provide any documentation required - that is being used to keep down dissent and improve the response interactively. We're all in this together...
We are encouraged to go for local walks but have to observe the 2m isolation rule and no travel is permitted except for medical purposes, getting food and for those considered essential workers. We can get some stuff by internet shopping. We are into this a week already and we are very grateful for the wonderful, warm and sunny fall weather we are enjoying, so we are spending a lot of time in our garden and these two images reflect that:

Monochrome is a good medium to remove distracting elements, such as colour and to allow us to enjoy form, tone and texture, so I worked on that when I was inspired by the shadow of the trellis on a garden planter - looks a bit prison-like but it doesn't feel like that. But better safe than sorry.
