The Bittern is striking such a dramatic pose - do you know if it was during preening, or if this pose was part of a courtship display?

So now I'm off to Google this Apopka Wildlife Drive to see what part of Florida it's in. . Have you had many opportunities with other species there, as well?

Really nice shot. I've seen American Bitterns several times, but they are so elusive and shy. I've never been close enough to get a good shot or where they are out in the open. Nice work.

The Apopka Wildlife Drive is in Central Florida and it has become one of Florida's best kept wildlife location secrets .... Hope that you are ding well
