Just noticed that Fuji has patents for a 300DOE and 500DOE.

The Angry Photographer says in a youtube that anytime Fuji files a patent they make the lens, with one
exception--a 120mm macro which they redesigned into an 80mm macro.

I'm a Fuji wannabe having pre'd the X-T4. So after filling a patent how long until Fuji goes into production?

I think I just saw my Nikon 500 PF wipe a drop of sweat from its brow :)

And the other exception is the F/1 33mm moving to 50mm. But they don't always make good on their patents, their RGBW sensor patent for 2014 was never realised as a product. Anyhoo both those lenses would be a welcome addition to their lacking long tele lenses so my guess would be they we'd see them or something very similar in about 18 months. Fuji have a well updated lens map on their site that can be worth keeping an eye on.

The 200/2 has an included 1.4TC, just saying :-D

As a recent acquirer of an X-H1 (six months back during the fire sale), I would really like to see that 500DOE. The X-H1 is a seriously under-rated camera, and I am using all adapted Canon glass. Canon has no real equivalent for that lens.

Nor does Sony, else I'd probably not have pre-d the X-T4.
I guess currently the save grace is the Fringer adapter? Seems there is a lot of Canon glass that adapts well to Fuji bodies.
I'll be hoping for the Canon 400/5.6 and/or the 400DOii on the long end for now.

Shame Nikon went their completely different way. I had success with BIF initially with a Sony a9 and Nikon 300PF via Commlite
but that disappeared instantly when Sony did an a9 firmware update.
