It doesn't matter as RAW does not have a colour space. LR opens RAW with Melissa RGB. At the bottom of ACR you can select the colour space. I use ProPhoto RGB.

I was wondering about the settings on LR’s export page. Sharpening and media type.

That is correct. Even for print unless you or a specialty shop requires Adobe RGB sRGB is the one to use.

Out of curiosity I decided to try C1 again. Both these are screen shots. C1 which is the first image is whatever comes out of the box and LR is Adobe Color. I did not apply Auto Tone LR. Adobe portrait warmed the skin tones and Camera Standard punched up the reds but I didn't post those.

Actual crops and exports. C1 is the first image and I did capture sharpening, Clarity, Structure and export for screen. LR is basically the same settings. When I look at these at 100% on my screen I see more detail where the rider had an injury in his elbow. This was what I during my previous tests. Not being proficient I could perhaps put more work into it but at this point I don't see why I need to spend $440 Canadian on C1. Version 21 will be released in November and knowing myself I'd get it. Another $200 this year.

C1 is more sophisticated with layers, colour blending, etc all under one roof which is very appealing but I don't really need that with what I do. If I need to go into PS once in a while that is OK. LR added Range Masking to help avoid going into PS. LR gets a bad rap somethings but it can stand up to other developers.

Anyway good luck with your testing. I'm sure you will find what works for you.

I forgot to say thanks. I read a lot of good things about C1 and keep wondering if I missed something critical the last time I tried it. I’ll be OK for another year:-)
