At 21 million light years away sits M101, the Pinwheel galaxy. This is my version. I left it somewhat wide to show some of the surrounding objects, I like NGC5422 sitting near the lower right corner. It is fun to see progress from earlier versions, I’m excited to see what it looks like next year as I gain more experience. Thanks for looking.

Image was taken during full moon so I kept the exposures short, most RGB being 10 seconds with some at 30 an 60. Ha exposures were 240 and 300 seconds.

I shot it last night myself with a 400mm RASA. Bad LP here but I was amazed at how many faint fuzzies were visable in the image. Mine is with a OSC. You pulled out some great color with with your mono. I've often wondered how wonderful the Ha nebulae must look from inside both M101 and M51. They must put Orion to shame,

I’d like to see the results from the RASA / OSC combo. I’ve debated OSC, I went with mono for narrowband and the excessive light pollution out here. But for galaxies I think the OSC could be great.

I hope to get OSC cooled one day to do RGB over the mono, sometimes i feel like doing LRGB is more pain and headache than doing it with one camera and no filter or one filter only, i saw enough results already doing fine with OSC under LP, i just need to have one and try also.

Tarieq - you are doing some amazing lunar shots With the OSC, you should post some of those over here.
