Great shot, well exposed. My one encounter with one was dismal, I really underestimated how dark they are.

I have posted elk and a moose in the deer stalking thread, like you said, big deer. Or just make this the post your moose thread. I hope to get more moose photos, but no guarantees, they are not the most populous creature here in Oregon.

I like the idea of a "Big Deer" thread. Lets in deer, and the rest of the deer family, elk, moose grizzly bears.

I think a cow moose with calf is the most dangerous animal in the woods. That is a great photo.
