Gitzo are rock solid until they meet your car tires:-( so with that said has anyone ever order replacement parts for their gitzos ?

To update. I have owned this for a couple months now and love it. Have taken advantage of the extra height a few times and it's rock solid when extended. Really great piece of equipment.

You made a good decision.

I've had the 3541XLS for years and still going strong, as you say rock solid and extends to 7' without a center column, whats not to like. Great Tripod !!!

The xtra height has saved my butt quite a few times ;-)a;-)a;-)a

I prefer using the 3541XLS out of my car, and my Leofoto Tripod for travel and long hikes. ( much liter and folds much smaller, and as rock solid as the Gitzo ) Also much more cost effective.
