I'm wondering if I have too much foreground, but I wasn't a big fan of all the dead branches above. Any C&C welcome. Thanks!

I agree on less foreground. The sky, however, is dramatic. I'd like to see more of that. And I think the dead branches are a nice contrast with the lush greenery in the foreground.

I like the foreground. Balances the composition and makes the photo more dramatic.

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

With this much foreground it says you were just getting the shot that you could, not the shot you wanted. Too much of the house is obscured and honestly from a compositional standpoint it looks like you were trying to make something out of nothing. I don't mean to be harsh but there are times when you just can't save a particular image.

I agree. I think the foreground gives the house a secluded, off-limits feel. A little creepy, more dramatic.

I'll echo that
My thoughts exactly

You could soon play and see what less would look Ike but to me it's right

Thanks for the feedback guys.

How do we feel about the editing? Specifically the fog added in post?

I like it, including the foreground. Gives the house an overgrown abandoned feel. I could kind of crop it by scrolling the photo up and down so the foreground dropped off the screen, better with all the foreground.

Not that I'm really qualified or my opinion matters, I would like to give my perspective. First and foremost it is something that if I saw, I would try to photograph it. So, good eye!! I think you do have to much foreground, I would rather see more of the dramatic sky along with the abandon house, they both seem to tell the same sad story. I do like the fog, it also adds to the story, warm day, cold air brought in by the on coming storm, and one hell of a rain getting ready start. I don't mind the branches, they look as dead as the house. Defiantly worth going back if it's possible and try some different angles.
