there was a video on You tube showing how to remove a plate and then use a 10-22 from 14-15mm on a 1DMKIV

I decided to use the Tokina 11-16 F/2.8....It does not Vignette at 15mm...so 15mm worked well and I never went past 15mm

Less than 15mm and I believe you have to worry about hitting inside of camera

I had a crop in the bag at the time so it f=got double duty use

Generally 1 series bodies cannot take ef-s lenses without altering the lens.

A third party lens designated for Canon crop cameras still have an EF mount and can be used without fear of hitting the mirror. You will get vignetting as you zoom in, as with the Tokina 11-16, but it will not entend into the camera body.

No. You need to check each one.

It should as long as it has an EF mount, although I'm not an authority on the subject.
I used a Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX 12-24mm F4 on my 1DmIII and it worked fine, although it did vignette over 13mm. Here's an example:

If you are serious about real estate you might consider getting a ff body. Used 5DII or 6D's are really affordable now. The 1D4 is kind of worst option, a cropped body, but without access to lenses made or crop bodies. It's a well regarded sports and wildlife body but not suited for your intended purpose

They will all fit. Is it worth using them is the question.

Details of two EF-S lenses used on full frame. They should be a lot better on 1DIV obviously.

Which non-Canon manufactures make an EF-S mount? They may designate for Canon EF-S but the mount is still EF.

ONLY Canon makes an EF-S mount. Third party lenses designated for crop cameras still have an EF mount.
