What we call a Speckled Wood butterfly but you may have another name for it. I'm not familiar with the bug , nearest we have is Eurydema dominulus

Thanks racketman i have never seen those bugs before either but there are quite a few round here now they look like a mini shield bug but different colours

Now I see that it is a Brassica bug, Eurydema oler.
