Is anyone using the new web cam utility?

I see that it does NOT support 70D, really!? Wow, that is unfortunate. I actually downloaded the '80D' version of the Utility, installed it, restarted my computer and it does not work for my 70D. When I turn on my camera, movie mode, connect USB Cable to camera/to PC, it is not showing up as a device in any of my meeting software (ie. Skype).

Anyone else figure a way for this to be used with 70D?

Camera's: 70D, G12 | Len's: 18-135mm IS STM, 55-250mm IS STM, 50mm f/1.8 II | Photos:flickr (external link)

I got slightly further ahead with the M5 in that I could select the EOS webcam from Zoom, but no video output.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Wow, M5 is not supported either, just stinks!

I wouldn't say it just stinks, just that they could try harder...
can't think of a technical reason anything mirrorless shouldn't work as a webcam in some capacity, they just need to implement it.
