Len Rebate Patterns

Hi all;

I know we all look out for those Canon Len's rebates as it will typically shave off 5-10% of the cost of the lens.

I've been looking/waiting around for a Rebate to pop up on the Canon 100mm F/2.8 USM IS Macro lens and I haven't really seen anything.

Question is: Does this lens pop on rebate from time to time? And if there is a "go-to" place for this kind of lens besides the usual (B&H, Beach, etc.), please let me know.

I would also check out adorama for a used or demo lens. or ebay especially if you don't mind gray market

This lens, until recently, was marked down @ B&H from $899 to &699, only $100 more than the non L version. The discounts will be there if you have the time.

+1 for cpricewatch, great site to use while I have a case of GAS. I reached out to them a while back on if they have any pulse on when Canon makes sales and they said it's quite erratic, so I wouldn't expect any kind of pattern, just that refurbished sales will be a recurring event.
