As the title states, I'm just wondering if I can use my Flashpoint XPLOR 600's modelling lamp for streaming at home? I want to setup a twich account and am hoping to use what I already have to make this work. If not, can you recommend an inexpensive light?

Best regards,

Ryan

Wouldn't constant use cause it to overheat, and kill it's lifespan?

I hear Alien Bees DigiBee 400 & 800 have the most powerful LED modeling lights. There is issue with the fan noise if doing video.

I suppose that by now you've determined your own solution.

For my input, however:

The Flashpoint XPLOR 600's modelling lamp is not bright enough, the light doesn't have sufficient color quality, the fan is too loud for video, and on battery the flash will not allow the light to be on long enough (I don't know if it has duration limits with the AC adapter...I don't have the AC adapter).

There are a good number of LED lights available that would fit the bill much better at decent prices.
