I really need to get out to take some pictures. Until I do I’m taking them at night from the backyard.

What happens when a star dies? See M27, the Dumbbell Nebula.

This narrow band image is 16.5 hours of exposure using a ZWO ASI1600mm-Pro attached to a Canon 500mm f/4 with an Astromechanics lens focuser.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

This one wasn’t high enough to photograph until after 2:00am. I used the KStars/EKOS scheduling function to control the mount and camera.

Stunning and worth all the time you put into it. Absolutely beautiful. Yes, you should get out to take more pictures if this is what you can get from your backyard.

Thank you. There is always something new to learn in processing, it’s never truly finished.
