Couple of days ago Microsoft released two new Surface products. I have my eye on the Surface Go 2 tablet :-)

I do my PP on a surface book 2. The touch screen is a dream for dodging and burning, cloning, masking all that stuff....and having full fledged photo apps and operating system is a must.

I didn't know touch screens are useful for post-processing. Show how little I know.

IDK if the touch screen, per se, is all that useful. A finger is not a very accurate tool for making fine selections. However, the stylus is very accurate, once you get used to it.

Unfortunately, the Surface gets very expensive when you configure with a minimum usable amount of storage, and they are not upgradeable. All you can do is stick an SD card in for extra storage. I bought an i5/8gb/256gb model from Costco at a good price. Put a 256gb SD card in it. It's usable for LR and PS, but I have to dump the card after every race. Just order a 1TB SD Micro on sale from B&H. That should give me some much needed space.

Yes no finger. Surface pen is great though.

I did the same as you...got the 256gb model and stuck a 512gb microsd card in it. Most annoying thing is that the sd card slot is in the base, not the tablet so storage when unlocked is limited.

Ah, I have the tablet version, so the SD card slot is always available. But it only has one USB 3.0 port, so I have to use a USB/media hub to copy from my camera SD cards to the tablet's SD card and to my external SSD backup drive. Takes a long time, especially since I also setup one or two action cams to record video while I shoot stills.

Hoping the newer version coming this yr has couple of thunderbolt ports. Internal storage capacity I don't care much as anything is going to run out soon.

Just an FYI, Best Buy is giving 18 months no interest on surface products over $400 with their CC...

I just bought the Surface Go 2. Pretty expensive though. I ordered mine with the slightly higher M3 processor and type cover, surface pen.
Not for photo editing, just as a windows based tablet for light duty work when I don't want to lug my Win 10 laptop around.
