Taken w. my lovely point and shoot. Da A80. Critique me.
Seriously.

Especially the vets. I'd like to hear your opinions.
And please. if you don't like the photos, I'd like to know why. (Was it incorrectly composed? Was it too dark, too bright, etc.)

I can't become better if I'm not critiqued.

I find the subject matter of 3 generally not very interesting. The composition hasn't done enough to change that I feel.Look at your other photos - 1 has very good composition and movement. The other two seem to be telling a story, but 3, well it's a guy walking next to a wall.

I love 1, 2 and 4 though!

I really like number 1, how the stairs look dark and foreboding, with the little child fleeing from it. #2 is in the same mold, but I wish the shoes weren't cropped out. #4 is nice too, especially when paired with #1.

Thank you.

And you're absolutely right for number 2..
But sadly, my little baby is 38mm on wide. :o

No problem with that. Just step in closer and assume a lower vantage point so you can frame in both the whole person and the window. But not to worry, your second pic is very nice as it is. That's what street photography is all about, most are technically flawed (at least mine are), but tells a story nonetheless. Good job.

Yes your pictures do tell a story and I like the composition and the odd angles especially.

IMHO, exposure seems to be the problem with No 3. I'd rather have the bricks a bit darker and the sky not blown. (Just my own preference I guess)

With No 4 it's much the same thing. The subject's hair has lost most of its highlights at the expense of a correctly exposed bus interior. I know you'll never get both correct, but perhaps put back some of the hair detail?

I like your work. You have a great talent for street photography, certainly better than I'll ever have.

I think they're very good, they're intimate. Which is just how this type of work should be

Three is dull though, don't worry about over exposure in some of the highlight for this type of work.

Robert Frank one of the greatest street photographers of all time, was always doing it.

I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

The first one doesn't do anything for me.
#2 is really good. A well spotted image with the coman sleeping in the bright light coming through the window. I think the angle of the camera works well here. Only one problem- you cut off her big to.
#3 is okay, but again, not much interest to me- blown out highlights too.
The last is the best of the bunch- other than being slightly over exposed, it's a real beauty. You've captured the ladies in a deep transes, with the bar framing each of them, or seperating them.
