I am in the final stages of preparation of a new book. Those who pre-order the book will also receive an 8x10 signed print. I'm trying to decide on the print. You can help by responding to the poll.

I am also posting some candidates for the print below. Some are in the book and some are not. Please let me know your preferences. Thanks. The first image (the Yellow-crowned Night Heron in flight) is the cover image for the book. Of course none of the images in the book will be watermarked.

The first one, the cover shot. The rest are great shots, but the first shows that magic moment when skill, preparation meets opportunity.

When I saw the first two, I said "First one". Then I saw the third one. Now I am torn between the 1st and the 3rd.

Tough call between #1 and #3. I might lean in favor of #3, but not by much.

The first one, the hawk.
The second image, the finch is turned so we are looking at its back. I'd have liked the image if it were turned around, although you captured it well.
The last image is nice, but I would have preferred a natural perch.

All the photographs are very nice, and I'm just being very picky.

Aw what could be more natural for a nighthawk than a rusty fence post at the end of the day? :) Thanks for your comments.

.

For me, the first one ...... and it's not even close.

But why not give the people who pre-order a choice of which print they want?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
