Quite excited about Topaz DeNoise. Thanks to POTN members the black fox and avondale87 who patiently discussed the benefits of the software with me. I tip my hat.

Here is a photo I took yesterday. I believe this is a Baskettail dragonfly, one of three possible Baskettail species in Northern Michigan.

This guy was hovering near me with a busy background. I could not get the 7Dii autofocus to lock on to an in flight daragonfly so I manually focused on a nearby branch and waited for him to come back. He did, I tweaked the focus manually, and fired for effect. The resultant in-flight Dragonfly shot was quite noisy so I tried Topaz Denoise using their 30 day trial. YAY. I am quite pleased with the results.

I too was following that advice and bought Topaz DeNoise and am very pleased with the results that I've been getting with it.

Here's another dragonfly taken today not in flight but resting at the top of a tree and a long way away which has been run through DeNoise AI.

A 1DX shot at ISO 250 and you need noise reduction?

What am I missing? -?

Hmmm... you're right... when I posted that picture I would have sworn that it said ISO 1250!

Sorry wrong picture that's why! It should have been this one! That'll teach me to pay more attention when I'm posting from my iPad in front of the TV!
