Charles, yes it is. The owner of the property, Clyde Hall, was active every day, while we were working on a SHA project. He let the contractor put their work trailer on his land, and did not charge them. Mr. Hall put in 8 hrs a day, if not more. By the way, he was 88 yrs old, back in 2018 when the project was ongoing.

Very attractive scene.
Rather timeless with the lack of modern utilities, structures etc.

Thanks Richard, and yes it's on Dartmoor in Devon, SW UK. The main source of income is sheep grazing and it's all still very low tech, it's another world.

Looking for critiques on this photo. I haven’t been out in years and I am just getting back into photography. Sky was kinda overcast with drab color.

Since you ask, there is too much grass. The barn has enough character by itself and I opine the tall grass strands distract from the barn. My critique is worth every penny you paid for it :-)

Thank you. I see what you are saying and I appreciate your opinion, however many pennies it may cost!

I'll echo that re the grass.
To me, that old barn is the object of interest of the photo and its a beauty.
The sky doesn't bother me.

I'm purely looking at it as a photo and really can't comment on photographic excellence stuff :-)

A farm in Giethoorn Netherlands. The farmers do their transport with a boat over the canals. Even their cattle goes by boat. Around the little village were moors where they made turf. Now it is a national park.
