I know folks around here frown on cross posting but I wanted to bring this unusual creature to your attention and thought sure it would get lost in the Squirrel thread.

It's not so much, "look at this lovely image I have created" but rather .....
"WOW ! Look at that thing ! I've never seen anything like it "

For your pleasure and reflection, I present: The White Squirrel.

Another one of God's fascinating creatures. 8-)

Beautiful shot! We have a lot of black squirrels in a town neighboring mine, but I've never seen a white one. A local birder did get a photo of one that he showed me last year though.

Chickasaw County, IA. They're very common in city limits of a small town called Elma.

I've heard they're common in the town of Red Oak as well, but never been there.

While I was living in Marionville, Missouri, USA the white squirrels were all over that town.

That is a great photo of a unique Squirrel. Recently a White Red Squirrel was photographed in Vermont, but I don't think it was as pure white as your photo.

I took this photo last summer while in Dayton, Ohio. It was the first time I have ever seen a white squirrel in person.

It's difficult to be sure, but my initial impression of this one is that it's an albino,
due to seemingly red eyes.

But again, difficult to be sure, due to the eye captured in shadow.

That's what I thought, too. Thanks.

Thanks. I was driving down a street and barely had enough time to grab my camera and take the shot.
