River Thames at Greenwich. UK.
Top image taken from top of Millennium dome shows the Thames flood barrier. Built to hopefully save London from flooding if unfavourable tidal or wind conditions in the Thames Estuary cause an excessively high tide or storm surge, and to future proof the safety of London against flooding when the polar ice caps raise the sea levels.

When in the cable cars it is almost possible to reach to the aircraft taking off from London City Airport.
