Graphics card?

None yet. I haven't found one for the right price and need to do more research. Right now, the onboard graphics on the processor have been more than adequate for me. The motherboard has Displayport and HDMI outputs and I have used them to drive two 2560x1440p monitors without any issues. I don't play games or do anything like that, so the video card is less important to me.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I read somewhere that the next gen of video cards will be out in a few months. Probably a good time to sit back and see what kinds of deals on current gen graphics cards come out at that time.

Since Adobe doesn't really take full advantage of GPU processing my GTX 1080 seems to do just fine...for now anyway.

I purchased all my pc parts from micro center as they also priced matched amazon prices. It was also good to go in person and talk to them as i had questions about building my own PC for the first time.

I've actually been buying most of my computer stuff from B&H. Since March, Amazon and many other on-line retailers are taking 1-3 weeks to deliver in-stock merchandise. B&H is still delivering in 1-2 days to NJ. On larger orders, I can usually call and get a small discount. And then I save on paying sales tax when I use their Payboo card.

Amazon is having their Prime Day Oct 13-14. Deeply discounted prices for Prime members, or so they say.
I don't know if PC parts will be on sale, but I'll be looking for two 6TB HDs and a 1TB SSD for my laptop.

Anyone buy PC parts on previous Prime Days?
Black Friday isn't too far off, either.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.
