Google Earth and WATERSKMZ Plugin ???

A few months ago, I installed the WATERSKMZ plug-in in Google Earth:

It provided a vital missing piece to Google Earth = rivers and streams.

Lately, my streams have disappeared and I cannot figure out how to get them back.

All elements of the plug-in seem to still be present and accounted for; however, the little colored blocks beside the check-boxes all have little red "X"s and I can find no reason why nor any means to get things back to normal.

I have read and reread the tutorial and there is no help there that I can see.

Can anyone shed some light on this ?
