I have to spray inside my garbage can "Animal Stopper" to keep raccoons out of my garbage! That does work very well!

We use big wooden garbage bins that stay at the end of the driveway - found mine in the middle of the road one day, a bear had raided it. Coons here are more yard nuisances, mainly bird feeders.

Oh I'm no fan of Raccoons either. They get into our huge piles of round bales to raise their young, destroying the plastic they are wrapped in, which in turn destroys the bales. With acres and acres of woodland, they don't need to depend on humans to exist!

That's for sure. Even now when I'm not feeding the birds over the summer, raccoons are sniffing around every night.
