It does based on my sources, which isn't a surprise, all Canon bodies in the last decade have had that option. Also, it is very possible that the raw file size (due to a different format raw structure) may not be that much larger than the 5D4 raw file size, despite the 45Mpx resolution vs 30.

the R has Raw and CRaw, and the R6 looks to be the same:

it does have the faster 1Dx type sensor, so it may be more suitable for event photography, while the R5 reads more like a landscape camera.
