You be the judge.

Original image was 2976 pixels short side.
Made a 2x enlargement in both Gig AI and QI.

2nd image ... Gig AI on left ... QI on right

They both look pretty good. The one on the left is slightly more contrasty and saturated. That's the only difference that I see. No artifacts in either and no difference in sharpness.

I would disagree. I see a very slight improvement (more) sharpening for the GigAI image. However, the file sizes say something too. If you saved them both with the same jpeg quality setting, there is something to be said about the smaller file size of the QImage output.

I would agree about the saturation. The GigAI product is a bit more "rosier" and the Qimage is a bit more pale. Look closely at the lips. Overall the lip color seem a bit more realistic on the GigAI image, and the Qimage product seems to have inserted a bit more brown and tan plus a bit more purple or magenta on her left side of her lips, . Plus, it looks slightly grungier. Overall I would say the lip color on the GigAI product seems a bit more nicer.

Edit: others may disagree. There is such a difference in monitors and what people see the only way for you to get a usable comparison is to print both and look at the prints. I am on a calibrated 27" monitor (IPS panel).

Thanks for your reply and observations.

Gig AI may have a slight advantage ... on the fence, if worth the price for occasional use.

Also tested Faststone Image Viewer, my ole eyes not seeing a whole lot of difference.

I still see no difference in any of them except what I mentioned above.
