Jul 14, 2020 04:44 | #3 very cool eh? the line "see the restored Mosquito" might just be media hype, but given there are excellent restorers at Avspecs (Ardmore in Auckland) who have created 3x airworthy mossies from next to nothing, I wouldn't be surprised if moves were afoot to do a complete make-over. Wouldn't be cheap mind! Wonder what a trip to Omaka would set me back these days... some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Jan 30, 2022 04:29 | #6 Since the time I posted this, the folks at Omaka have been really busy with the restoration, apparently she'll never fly again for a number o9f reasons - the fuselage was cut when demobbed & has been "stitched" together, and because the aircraft is in otherwise entirely original condition. some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
