Nice shots Toby. We've got Red Admirals on our side of the pond as well, although I'm not sure if they have that nice string of hearts across the underwing. I'll have to look for that.

It's the same you have. I see that Arkansas has almost the same number of species as the whole of the UK, 52 v 57. Florida predictably has nearer 200.

I’m not sure about your source, but my reference / friend says we have 150 species in Arkansas counting vagrants just passing through. Here is a link to the homepage.

My mistake (bad Googling), what I saw was the number listed on a particular database. You are spoiled although Peruvians may beg to differ :-)
