last couple weekend walks been lucky to capture a few shots of Red-Backed Fairy Wren
hard to get shots of the male when its in the dark shade of the bushes

i have a canon r5 , 5DSR canon 24 to 105 mm f 2.8 L is, canon 100 mm f 4 L macro is, canon 100 mm to 400 mm L is mark 2 , gitzo tripod with gimbal
head

what a gorgeous wren. Very striking male plumage.

We certainly have a variety of Wrens in this region

Poor female comes second fiddle, but still lovely little bird.

Great series, I find that Wrens in general are quite flighty creatures that favour dense undergrowth making them a challenging subject to get decent photos of.

Such beautiful colours.:-)

With only the plain old winter wren here in the UK I'm a teeny bit jealous of the lovely coloured wrens that you have down there. They are definitely something I'd be looking for if ever I make to that part of the world. Nice photos! :)
