Hi all,
I am having challenges (by no means the first person) with colour profiling on my Canon Pro10S, specifically skin tones. What appears on my screen is not what is appearing out of my printer. Below is a screenshot of an image ready to print, and the next image a scan of the print as an example:

As can be seen, the image has shifted to yellow with slight green in the skin tones.

I am using the CC LightRoom Classic Canon plug in to print from, printing on Glossy II Canon paper. My screen has been calibrated using a X-Rite Colormunki. I am tempted to create a custom printer profile, however there seems no way to access it from the Canon plugin (Canon ICC profiles only).

Also done a head check to make sure no nozzles blocked in case there was an issue with Magenta/Red/PhotoMagenta ink flow, no issues were observed.

Does your calibrated screen match pro lab prints? It's REALLY important to have some pro lab prints as a reference.

No not yet, I hadn't considered that. I got an email earlier from the local Fuji lab running a special too.

That looks a lot like both the printer driver and another program (maybe LR?) are managing the colour space conversion.

I am suspicious of that happening, there doesn't seem to be a way to outright disable colour management on the printer, the options just grey out.

In the past when I have tried printing directly from Photoshop with printer profiles I have created I have still got a similar result.

How much of the Canon software did you install, or just the printer driver?

I seem to remember that there used to be an option in the driver to switch on or off if it managed colour (or it may have been in the LR and PS print properties)
But I don't have a printer anymore so can't check.

Please hold caller, I am trying a different OS to see what happens...

Nope that just made the issue worse. Tried printing from a Windows machine instead of my MacBook. Limited with what software I had to print with too which didn't help.

What about with no Canon drivers or software installed, Windows 10 should be able to use it with the windows drivers

I have some time tomorrow, I will give that a go, just need a descent software to print from (my daughter has my second CC logon, but maybe could try the demo...)

You've got to get pro lab prints, pronto. Without them, you're just shooting wildly in the dark.

Good movement in right direction this morning, finally profiled the printer again using the latest X-Rite software, much better result, still to do the lab thing though but I am much happier for now.
Shouldn't need expensive printer calibrator though to get good prints!

Good to see your getting better results, but yes makes you wonder if there is a bug or something wrong with the driver or printer.
