Click/tap on the green rectangle. After that, do the obvious thing.

Thanks to you both. I didn't know that either Charles. Saves a lot of clicking! The brilliance of this software and its features never cease to amaze me.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

I would love to know what the obvious thing is.

I know what I do to go directly to a specific page, but I don't think that what I do is very obvious ..... so I would like to know what your method is. . Perhaps it's easier than mine.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

When you

click/tap on the green rectangle,

the next thing is obvious.

After I click on the green rectangle, and that page loads, the next thing is not at all obvious to me. . I am completely missing what you are hinting at.

Could you please just tell me what the next thing is?

It needs to be a thread with more than one page to get more than a simple reload. I hope the image below helps.

Oh, okay, I get it now. Thank you.

I never saw that thing where you can enter a page number. . Never. Ever. Noticed. It. . (despite the fact that it has been right there in front of my eyeballs thousands of times over the years)

I have always just typed the page number in the address bar at the top of my browser window.

Capn, your white box is outlined! I guess that makes it easier to find, huh?

I don't understand it. You're a keen observer outdoors.

You are a keen observer, too (I know that remark wasn't meant for me, but my reply is truthful).

I've no idea why my edit box is outlined. But I'll hazard a guess. I have no knowledge of Pekka's excellent code, but my own code tends to use the controls provided in the operating environment. This means that such controls are drawn by the operating system (web browser, in this case). This means the same web page control can look different when viewed by the same browser on different devices. In my case, I'm running Windows 10, Chrome 84.0.4147.89. Using another web browser and/or another operating system may cause such controls to be drawn differently, as they are often supplied as subroutine libraries. The use of such standard controls saves a lot of programming time, and makes for smaller code.

Well, I just figured out why I never noticed the "jump to page" box. . Because it doesn't exist for me. . That's right - it simply isn't there, and doesn't come up when I click on a page number. . I am using Chrome on an Apple iMac with recent updates.

This is all I get:

So, I guess I will have to keep using the address bar to jump to a page that is far from the page I am currently on, to save so much clicking.

I just highlight the page number and then type in the page I want to go to and hit the "ENTER" button.
