I think that that feature is so useful and so intuitive that I find myself doing it on all the other websites I use, too. . Of course it doesn't work there, which kinda sucks.

On a Mac, the combination to get to the top is Command + up arrow.

If there were 10,000 or 20,000 more Pekkas out there, the internet would be a better place to live.

.

Try the "Home" key between the letters and the numbers on the right on a PC.

Thanks OhLook, I never knew that one either. Very useful. :)

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

That could be useful at times, thank you. . But ......

Most of the time I am on the internet, I wouldn't be able to use that keyboard function. . Why?

Because much of the time that I spend online, I am lying down in my bed, with the computer up on the desk. . I like to lay down flat - it feels much more comfortable than sitting up. . When I lie down, I have my mouse right there on the bed with me. . I can use the mouse to do everything it would do if I were sitting up and had it on the desk. . At least 70% of my internet surfing time is spent lying on the bed, where I can only use the mouse and have no access to the keyboard.

When I am lying on the bed, I do not have the keyboard with me. . It is up on the desk right in front of the computer, out of reach. . I tried to have the keyboard in the bed with me, and it is not easy and comfortable. . And when I am lying in the bed, it absolutely kills me to have to get out of that comfortable lying down position and sit up so that I can access the keyboard.

So I mostly rely on things that I can do with the mouse only, and things that require the keyboard are not very helpful to me, because I can only do them when I am sitting up and typing, which is infrequent. . This is why I do not post a lot more to POTN - because most of the time I am on the forum, I am lying down in bed with no way to type anything. . It would also account for my heavy-handed usage of the "LIKE" button - because that is one of the only ways I can interact with the forum when I have only the mouse available to me.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

That is by far my favorite feature on the internet. The hate it when I can't do that on other sites.

The user experience on the forum is one of the best that I have ever had. Navigating it is so easy and intuitive.

CC always welcome.

Two options there Tom. One is the on-screen keyboard, which you access in System Preferences/Accessibility/Keyboard/Accessibility Keyboard/Enable Accessibility Keyboard. The keyboard appears on the screen and you click each letter or combination with the mouse. It's very slow though. The other option is Siri, dictate what you want to write.

Thanks for the tip about the on-screen keyboard. . It may be slow, but it is a lot faster than doing copy-and-paste one letter at a time with the mouse ..... which is the only way I knew to do it from my bed before you told me about this.
