I think I was paying about $150 a year or there about. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

The costs is $148 per year and is a no fault new replacement value. Had this for several years now and it really is peace of mind when you have so much $$ tied in gear. Fortunately, I've not needed it.

Aug 24, 2020 23:23 | #5 I have a rider on my home owners Policy also, I think it’s a couple of hundred dollars a year with a $500 deductible. I hope to never use it but it’s there incase. It covers pretty much everything damage, theft, etc. The only thing it doesn’t cover is a war or a nuclear explosion

(4 edits in all) | Aug 26, 2020 17:08 | #7 In view of so many homeowner policy companies not offering renewal policies (risk of fire, risk of tornado/hurricane), and this happening more and more as major natural disasters cause massive scale of losses in many areas, I prefer NOT to have an addon rider on my homeowner policy. Imagine someone steals your camera bag while on vacation, you put in a claim for $12k in stuff, the insurance company pays the claim, but then next year they will not offer to renew coverage of your home!
