Need one or two extras. Prefer Canon branded originals.

I suggest you use 3rd party batteries but control your source to the importer, not some online source like Amazon. Getting the battery direct from the importer insures fresh stock. See https://www.wasabipower.com …-charger-for-canon-lp-e17 (external link) for instance which is for a pair of batteries and charger for $20.

There is also a brand new Canon brand on eBay for $30 (includes shipping). See https://www.ebay.com …-X8i-LC-E17-/392888111041 (external link)

I would avoid Canon brand batteries on eBay. Too many fakes. Better off getting SterlingTek, Wasabi, DSTE or other brands from Amazon.

I may have batteries. Will have to check in the morning.

Thanks. I looked at the eBay listing and it looks nothing like my original battery in their picture, so I think I'll order the Wasabi one.

Yes, that seems to be the case.

I have many Wasabi batteries for several different Canon cameras.
I'll give them a 2 Thumbs Up! ;-)a
I think you will be very happy with them...
