It fits, but only if the focus is close to the MFD. So I guess you could use it for macro with one of those mechanical focusing systems that move the entire camera? Not sure, I'm just getting started on macro. At any rate, here is a shot I took with the combo just now. It was on a small tripod in "monopod mode", i.e., I got tired of moving the tripod around and was balancing on two legs as I positioned the shot. Needless to say, it was in manual focus mode. The IBIS symbol does come up and EXIF does call out the Sigma 105, though it doesn't seem to indicate the presence of the Canon 2x III.

The lens probably does not have TC pins, so it can't see the TC.

One problem with invisible TCs (besides wrong EXIF info) is that IBIS is correcting only partially, for a shorter focal length.
