Unfortunately no, I was off base. There were only a couple photographers on-base this year and they needed to go through a self-imposed 14 day quarantine, which I could not do based on work and such. I knew a couple people on base so they were nice enough to send me the daily flight schedules though which helped a lot.

Another ridiculous crop required by circumstances. This is a LeConte's Thrasher outside of Fallon, NV, way north of its normal range in the Mohave and Sonoran Deserts. Three birds showed up here last year and two have been refund this year, a suspected breeding pair.

This was cropped to 1601 x 1067 pixels. Not gonna hang on anybody's wall, but a good record shot. Considering that the bird only popped up a couple of times for a total of about two minutes I was happy to get it. Last year I saw one for about ten seconds before it disappeared into the brush.

bravo..enough sharp detail there..thats why 45mpx rocks..20-24mpx so yesterday when you are out in the field looking for birds because they can be FAR :-D :-D
