Amazon and B&H. I was mostly considering the Sony or the ProGrade. I think I'm just going to stick with the camera. I should probably just sell the CFexpress card - I don't do anything with the camera that requires it.

So the puppies really like jumping over these boxwoods. I was down low trying to get a shot of it and they only go when the camera isn't pointed at them. So I saw her go, pulled the camera up and this is the first shot that fired. Not bad. I am still trying. Happy that the focus locked on instantly.

My R5 should be arriving around the 2nd week of Sept.

Can anyone post a sample, or direct me to a site that has samples, of high ISO shots? Like in the upper ranges of its capability?

I'm interested seeing what the noise looks like.

Yes we did get a second one. Amy likes the 400mm and uses it all the time now so we decided to each have one. Her main lens was the 400mm DO II. After using my 400mm on a few outings she really like the balance and performance over the DO II. It is my favorite and most use lens so I will most likely be selling the 600mm in a bit. The R5 push us in this direction. Now with the 45MP camera I really do not need the reach of the 600mm with the 2x and I prefer the 400mm over the 600mm in the 800mm range due to the shorter size and MFD.

I grabbed the R5 and a couple of lenses and went to a indoor animal zoo place. I've shot the numerous times before with my other cameras and i have to admit i never had as much fun shooting there as i had today. So many keepers it's crazy! most of my shots were with the electronic shutter and eye focus on the birds, it rarely failed. Most of my 2000+ shots were in focus. :)

That's what i did, but with the electronic shutter you quickly lose control of how many shots you have taken util the memorycard is full. It's so fast with 20fps. It feels like you're sitting in the A-10 Thunderbolt II firing off the minigun. :)

Haha you beat me to it! So if an A-10 has an eye and teeth painted on the nose, will the R5 AF pick up on it I wonder? It would be an interesting air show experiment.

Now that you mention it, I think what we really need are some eye and teeth skins for the R5.
