Jun 29, 2021 16:08 | #4311 Image preview and culling process help sought. I have a R6 and have found that using electronic shutter in servo mode when shooting wildlife has been fantastic. I've shot bears, herons, coyotes, a red wolf, deer, and a variety of average yard birds without seeing the slightest flinch in behavior I used to see when shooting my 1DX as it clicked away. However, at 20 FPS I have lots of images to cull through for keepers and find it a bit cumbersome to load them into Lightroom Classic (LRC) and pick through them. I've heard that Photo Mechanic allows you to preview and zoom in on raw files to pick/select the ones you want to import into LRC. I was wondering what folks might use to preview images and/or what workflow changes you may have made after using the R5/R6? 5DIII, 6D, 7D2, 5DMKIV,1DMK4,EOS-M,1DX

I'll post a duplicate message on the R6 thread to maximize outreach. Woody I use Lightroom for culling. It is ideal for that purpose. You can very easily zoom in to 1:1 to check for critical focus, boost exposure to see if a shot will tolerate that, compare to pick the best of two, diddle white balance or other settings to try to rescue before discarding, and mark for deletion before actually deleting. It views the actual raw instead of an embedded JPG. I think it is ideal for the purpose. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F
