Putting the cat among the pigeon(s).

I used the built-in Focus Stacking feature in the R5 (tripod mounted) to grab a series of "slices" of this wild Eastern Water Dragon at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.

What was really cool is that the R5 rattled off the shots very quickly, helping minimise the risk of the reptile moving between frames which might cause mis-alignment issues in the stacking process. On the rear LCD, you could see the File Number changing in the top left hand corner which was the only indication that is was shooting the set.

No problems focus stacking with the RF 100-500, worked like a charm.

Got my hands on a lens with a huge back order list.. RF100-500 and am debating if i will switch from my very good EF 100-400..

Here is a first try.. R5 was in crop mode..

I'll be interested if you switch. I like my EF 100-400 but it's so heavy. The RF 100-500 is lighter, I believe, but changing to the RF would be costly.

Can't remember when did I pick up my camera last time, half year ago?
Finally I had tried to get into a small local forest and have some fun !
