I actually already tried that. The AF in 20fps seems no different to me. The 12 fps vs 16/20 fps you do notice but honestly not as much as one may think. I have the feeling the 1dx grabs focus a little better, but not by much. This is all forgotten once you use the animal focus, it is outstanding. I think they really put a nice package together here. I really hope they put the animal tracking in the 1dx.
