Horses, and riders make good subjects
These are very nice

Curious what the protection on the lady is for? In case of a fall?
Getting kicked?

yes, like a flak jacket, protects the ribs in case of fall. She works with some of the younger horses and they can be a bit unpredictable. Most of them wear it under their sweatshirts, but she and some of the other ladies wear it over the clothes.

I'm partial to the first one, as well, with a rather doleful look on his face as snowflakes dropping all around....

Really like this shot. Is this a composite? The headlight trails provide great lighting but don't see any star trails that I would expect on a long exposure like this.

Took me a minute or two to figure out where you were shooting from, but I think that this is the MOAB Fault turnout on the climb up from the interpretive center. So jealous of the fact that you are able to get out to shoot in this area pretty well whenever you want.

Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

Yeah it's four shots to get all the car light trails, and one for the setting crescent moon... sometimes I'll just set the camera on interval timer, then go drive it myself, because when it's 15-20 degrees, waiting sucks, and, my 370z headlights provide a lot less glare than some of the reflective lens lights, however, they're 4700 kelvin philips hid bulbs, so I had to warm them up a bit, but not as bad as some of these horrible 5500+ kelvin hid's or LED's, which may emit MORE light, but it's bad on the eyes... I wish we had variable color temp headlights to adjust based upon the conditions of the roads and driver preference..

Yeah Moab is great if you're into landscapes...but there's something rewarding about photographing wildlife that landscapes simply don't give you...

Also: Arches, and I'm sure Canyonlands to follow - due to the popularity factor, and more people just living on the road, are going to a "timed entry" system starting April 3rd - So I'll be exploring some other less popular/more difficult to get to areas (for me atleast!!!).
