Yes, those are stacks using the built-in focus bracketing. I use Helicon Focus to merge them and edit as normal in Lightroom. I never use a tripod, so these are all hand-held. In terms of the number of shots, I have it setup to take 20 usually, but I rarely need quite that many. IN some cases I do as there's a branch or something that I also want to keep in-focus, but if its just the butterfly, and it's a side-profile, then I usually only need 10 or less. I switch to One-Shot AF, focus on what I want then slightly pull-back to the closest point I want in focus then hit the shutter and do my best to hold still! Takes a bit of practice, but overall I'm really happy with it and it's something that I could never do this easily before
